With nearly 25 years of real estate development finance experience, Jeremy has built a long-standing reputation for high-caliber teambuilding and transactions. He has worked closely with many of the largest and most well-respected homebuilders, developers and investors throughout the United States and Canada. His experience includes origination, underwriting and management of over US$1B of JV Equity Investments, Lot Banks and A&D Loans.

As co-founder, President and COO of Rooftop Capital, Jeremy is directly responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily operations. He shares responsibility with the CEO for leading investor, homebuilder and developer relationships as well as developing and implementing the company’s vision and strategic plan, including growth and overall performance. 

Prior to co-founding Rooftop Capital, Jeremy worked for Terra Firma Capital Corporation, a publicly-traded real estate development finance company, for four years. As Managing Director, Jeremy was responsible for strategic growth initiatives, capital raising, sourcing new investments, and general business development throughout the United States and Canada. During his tenure, Jeremy co-led the company’s expansion into the U.S. market, followed by a privatization and sale of the company that generated a premium over market price for shareholders in excess of 50%. 

Prior to joining Terra Firma, Jeremy spent over fifteen years in various roles with Tricon Capital Group, where he managed over US$1 billion of equity investments, including being directly responsible for sourcing approximately US$500 million of new equity transactions during his tenure. Most recently, Jeremy spent five years as Director and co-head of Tricon’s San Francisco office. At Tricon, he was responsible for leading the Western U.S. and Western Canadian divisions of their land development and homebuilding business.

Prior to joining Tricon in 2003, Jeremy worked for three years at HSBC Bank Canada where he was responsible for the growth and management of a senior loan portfolio focusing on residential real estate construction and development financing.

Jeremy is a member of the U.S. Community Development Council of the Urban Land Institute. He previously served as a board member of The New Home Company, a California-based homebuilder and land developer that he helped take public on the New York Stock Exchange. Jeremy holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Ivey Business School and an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University.
