Glenn has over 30 years of real estate development, investment and finance experience. His background includes origination, underwriting and oversight of over US$1.5B of JV Equity Investments, Lot Banks and A&D Loans. Glenn is considered one of the preeminent leaders within the residential development finance industry, having significant depth and experience in all facets and asset classes of real estate development throughout the U.S. and Canada.
As co-founder and CEO of Rooftop Capital, Glenn is directly responsible for developing and implementing the company’s vision and strategic plan, including growth and overall performance. Glenn is also responsible for leading investor, homebuilder and developer relationships.
Prior to co-founding Rooftop Capital, Glenn worked for Terra Firma Capital Corporation, a publicly-traded real estate development finance company, for nine years. As President and CEO of Terra Firma, Glenn led the company’s expansion from Canada into the U.S. market, ultimately representing nearly 100% of Terra Firma AUM. This was followed by a privatization and sale of the company that generated a premium over market price for shareholders in excess of 50%.
Prior to joining Terra Firma, Glenn worked for Tricon Capital Group Inc. for twelve years. During his time, he earned the title of Co-Chief Operating Officer where he oversaw the development and execution of investment strategy for the sourcing, underwriting and management of investments in the U.S. and Canada amounting to over $1 billion.
Preceding his tenure at Tricon, he served as Vice President, Corporate at Intracorp Developments Ltd. for five years where he was responsible for structuring and raising equity and debt to finance residential and commercial projects. Earlier in his career, Glenn worked for Graywood Developments Ltd. for six years in various Development and Finance roles.
Glenn is a member of the U.S. Community Development Council of the Urban Land Institute. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Ivey Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from Western University.
